Once I was lost

Spanish Edition.

Assassin's Apprentice (Aprendiz de asesino) by Robin Hobb.

It was longtime overdue, misconceptions make you poorer.

I don’t know why I never was curious about the books of Robin Hobb, saw them many times at bookstores but didn’t grab one to look at it, rare because I love to browse and snoop into books and I guess this fed into a kind of baseless avoidance (ok, my mind is funny)… oh, how big of a fool I had been all this time.

I had a bit of trouble at first with the names, in the Spanish translation they sound kind of silly and it took me a while to blend in with the story, it is a bit dumb but they got me out of pace with the reading, so it was a slow star for me besides, it is the introduction to the world setting and characters, but it was like a direct and precise punch, not so fast, but very steady and solid. I really loved Hobb´s writing style, she also has a sure hand to build things up and getting you invested in the story and the characters fate.

After this book, I was officially a fan and ran to get the next books, she is one of my favorite writers now and gives me the feels every time.

Don´t be silly like me and read some Robin Hobb.
