Sluggish necromancers in space

Harrow the Ninth by Tamsyn Muir.
A tough one for me to give an opinion, I was very excited to read it, Gideon the Ninth was such a fun book, although it had the “annoying teen syndrome“ (had to constantly remind me of it) I liked it very much and the final arc was a blast!
At first it was so different that it was intriguing, I liked very much the change of tone and language which corresponds to the protagonist in each book, but very soon I found it so boring and at the same time Harrow was a terribly fascinating character, it was developed with a tuned complexity that I found so endearing… so, what happened here? Beyond the confusion of those contrasts, I told myself to hold on, maybe it was a rough patch, a very slow first half or I was in a nasty mood or something, but it was not. Just saying… it is my very personal opinion and it took a while to pinpoint, but I think it is in part brilliant: Harrow was a very interesting character, from the first book to this was a joy (in a sad way, you know) how it was molded, the idea is clever and the plot establishment was so good, but I guess the execution was completely amiss. I felt so troubled for this, there is so much work and amazing ideas, and the final arc lifts up very much but I felt it sloppy, again: brilliant ideas, sloppy result.
I have not decided yet if I am going to read the next one, curiosity is a crazy animal, so maybe, but I would wait for a price offer maybe (I am a poor, angsty person), overall I think the idea is worth it, so yeah, I guess.
I have seen so many hyped reviews of people loving it, so maybe it is me, judge for yourself.
